We will be transitioning into our reading groups. Johnny you will be working with me. Group 1 will be reading to their partners while group 2 will be filling out a word graph.
I am going to give a clear demonstration of our activity today. Afterwards, you will practice with a partner, and I will be coming around to check on you guys.
In this classroom, I will provide many opportunities for us to read. Whether it's through reading time or when we go on nature walks, or look at science articles. Students, when we get stuck on a "difficult" word I need you to sound it out. Sound it out by each letter if you need to.
After reviewing my students' assessments, I can see that letter-sound activities may be too easy. Today, I am going to start fluency activities because they are ready for a challenge.
