Storyboard Text

  • "He went over sad down on the unoccupied twin bed, looked at the girl, aimed the pistol, and fired the bullet through his right temple."
  • Oh my god! My poor Seymour, what happened to you?
  • Muriel is woken up by the sudden sound of the gunshot. Terrified and in shock, Muriel grabs the phone and calls her mother to explain what happened.
  • Mother, something terrible has happened. Seymour is dead, you were right something was wrong.
  • Muriel's mother is reading the newspaper when she get's a unexpected phone call from her daughter.
  • Muriel, stay there and call the doctor. Me and your father are getting on the next flight.
  • Muriel and Seymour are in the hospital waiting for the surgeon to tell her if he will make it.
  • He will be okay physically, but mentally he is unstable. I recommend getting him help once he is discharged.
  • Muriel's mother arrives at the hospital to comfort her daughter, but can't help say what's on her mind.
  • I know you were trying to help him by taking him on vacation, but that wasn't going to fix it. Dr. Sevetski was concerned about Seymour losing control, he needed help.
  • 3 months later, Muriel and Seymour go to Dr. Sivetski for their monthly appointment to discuss his Post Dramatic Stress Disorder  
  • You have made great progress. Verbalizing how you feel and taking care of yourself is the first step to recovery. Muriel, I'm glad you are supporting and encouraging him to get better.
