Storyboard Text

  • Watson and Holmes are greeting Helen at the door and noticing that she is scared.
  • It is not the cold which makes me shiver, it is fear, Mr. Holmes, it is terror.
  • You must not fear
  • Helen is explaining why she is afraid and Holmes and Watson are listening to every detail.
  • Yes, all.
  • Holmes is skeptical about Helen saying that she is telling him everything  in the story.
  • Have you told me all?
  • What do you mean?
  • You have not told me everything, you are screening your stepfather.
  • Holmes is looking at Helen's wrist and finds five spots, the marks from four fingers and a thumb, on her pale wrist. These marks say that when he asked her if she had told the whole story she had masked the fact that her stepfather had been cruel to her.
  • He is a hard man, he barely knows his own strength.
  • You have been cruelly used.
