Ok girls, the steak is almost cooked and I'm pretty sure May can take it off the grill so you girls help yourself while I go help my wife.
Hey, Ellie, look, there's two beers over there, on that table!
Ellie and May were best friends and they had been ever since they were very little. Their families were also very close which is why Ellie was at May's house for the weekend. It was the 4th of July and May's dad was cooking up some steak.
I bet we can take a few sips out of the opened and my dad won't even notice.
May's dad went inside to help his wife, and May and Ellie were cooking peacefully and talking along casually. Then suddenly, May noticed that his dad had left his opened beer and an unopened one too and interrupted Ellie to tell her.
I'm so sorry for thinking about that. I don't what I was thinking.
May, you know how bad alcohol is for you and you also know that it is illegal so you shouldn't even think about it until you're 21.
She tries to get Ellie to get drink a few sips with her so that she alone wouldn't get in trouble if she did.
Ellie straight refuses because she knows the effects of alcohol and that underage drinking is illegal. Instead, she is successful in convincing May to never drink or think about it until she comes of age.
