• I have been having trouble doing the product rule for this project

• Sorry for giving you a random project, but what is the problem?﻿
• I'm not sorry﻿
• Approach introduced
• ﻿I foiled it and I got really confused afterwards
• ﻿Thats a good start, but let me show you a better way called "The Product Rule"
• How did you approach this problem?﻿
• Formula Introduced
• ﻿Why didn't she just teach me this first?
• ﻿Oh wow thanks I didn't know that
• ﻿The formula for the product rule is h'(x)= [f(x)g(x)]'= f'(x)g(x)+f(x)g'(x)
• The student confronts the teacher with a problem she has been having on the project﻿.
• Solution Introduced
• So if we were to input the formula and use it to solve the problem it would look something like....﻿
• The teacher asks her original method to solve the problem, and she responds with saying she foiled
• P.S: read the description in the last slide to know what she said﻿
• So the answer would be 20x3+6x2+70x+9
• It's a shame she doesn't know this already﻿
• ﻿The teacher gives the formula to the product rule and tells her that this is a short cut and better way to solve the problem.
• Conclusion
• ﻿But thank you, now I can finish the rest of the problems since I know the formula
• ﻿The teacher is talking about her steps to solve the problem which would be: 1. (x3+7x-1)(5)+(5x+2)(3x2+7) 2. 5x3+35x-5+15x3+6x2+35x+14 3. Combine like terms 4. You would get your answer
