Storyboard Text

  • How come women like us don't get to vote, but men do?
  • Yeah, it seems really stupid how we are getting more economic opportunities and freedoms by working in the factories, but we still don't have representation in the government!
  • We're tired of this! We are going to arrange a convention to fight for women's suffrage!
  • That's such a good idea! We want the right to vote now!
  • On this day in 1848, we, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Lucretia Mott, seek to rewrite the Declaration of Independence so that it includes the rights of women!
  • Us women are tired of not being represented in the government! Women are equal to men, and women need to stop being mistreated by this sexist society!
  • On August 18, 1920, the 19th Amendment of the Constitution was ratified. This guaranteed women the right to vote.
  • Us Congressmen have decided that women shall be granted the right to vote! Today we pass the 19th Amendment, which will allow women to be able to vote!
  • Hooray! Now we are one step closer towards being equal to men!
