Hi! My name is Drew the Droplet.I am currently waiting for this plant to sweat so I can get off this leaf and back to the water, where I belong! This process is called transpiration.
Yay!!I'm finally in the water again! But it is really hot here.Uh oh! I think the heat from the sun is turning me into a gas. I'm evaporating!
After I evaporate, I condense, meaning that I change from a gas to a liquid, after water vapor touches the surface. This is how these clouds form!
Now, in the form of rain, I am falling from the sky back onto surface. This is called precipitation. This occurs when warm, moist air cools because of condesation.
Look at me! I'm sliding down the mountain. Many of us droplets fall on the surface of land after precipitation occurs. This is called surface runoff.
After surface runoff, I become groundwater, because I am located with the rocks underneath the Earth's surface.
