  • In the sport of basketball, the players deal with velocity of the ball, acceleration of other players, gravity when going up for the dunk, momentum, and the mass of the ball all in one game.
  • While shooting a basketball the mass of the ball and the velocity at which the ball is shot plays a huge part in whether the shot is made or missed.
  • Because of the arc, power, and acceleration put onto the ball caused for him to make the shot go into the basket.
  • Some of the hardest shots in basketball are shots off the dribble/moving shots. This is because when taking these shots it's harder to interpret how much acceleration to put on the ball, or how much momentum the ball should be shot with.
  • One of the most exciting plays in all of basketball is the dunk you have to take into account gravity, your velocity, and how much mass the ball has to perfectly dunk the basketball.
  • Lastly dribbling the ball one of the most important aspects of the whole game. This is because nothing can be done without dribbling. Dribbling puts the force from your fingertips into the ball making it bounce.
