it was 11:00 at night, and she was walking home alone
she was a large women with a large purse she carried slug across her shoulder
when a boy ran up behind her and tryed to snatch her
as he grabed for the purse he fell back and grabed him by his shirt and told him pick up he pocket book and they headed to her house
she asked they boy what his name was and told him to wash his face
then she gave a the young man a comb so he looks nice and went to cook a bite to eat
as she went to the ice box her and the boy had a moment of truth and thats when the boy learned that trust is every thing
When they were finished eating she gave him a ten dollar bil and siad go buy yourself some blue suede shoes.then she said a very important qoute which was "next time, do not make the mistake of latching onto my pocketbook nor nobody else’s—because shoes come by devilish like that will burn your feet."
She led him down the hall to the front door and opened it. and said “Good-night! Behave yourself, boy. The boy wanted to say something else other than “Thank you, m’am” to Mrs. Jones, but he couldn’t do so He barely managed to say “Thank you” before she shut the door. And he never seen her again .
