This storyboard does not have a description.
This is Derrick, he is going to a job interview for a job as a driving instructor.
As a child, he loved to play and explore with vehicles. He would do his research, play his with his toy cars. By the time he was 12, he knew what a mechanic would know about cars, and had more knowledge in driving than his parents.
He was tormented when he told the other boys he loved cars and driving due to his Asian race, and the common stereotype, "All Asians are bad drivers".
You can't be a driver, Asians are bad drivers!
I love driving and cars! I want to be a driving instructor!
With the help of his parents/family, teachers, and his good friends, he went through childhood without letting the stereotypes get to him. He went on and got an Advanced Driving Instruction diploma.
During his interview, he explained to the interviewer how he had a diploma, his high skill level in cars, and how he has had 15 years of driving experience.
Although Joe did not have a diploma, and only 1.5 years of driving experience, Joe won over Derrick due to the fact the interviewer saw Derrick as the stereotypical Asian, and assumed he was a bad driver.
Sucks to be an Asian like you Derrick.
Derrick, you've been rejected, Joe, you're hired.
