The king got very happy and excited. He turned many things into gold such as stones, sand, apple, pillars of his mansions, grass and his fountain.
Soon Midas became hungry. He picked up a piece of meat, but he couldn't eat it, for it had turned to gold in his hand. He reached for the goblet of water but it had also turned into gold!
The king did so and after that, he returned home and happily ate his dinner! The moral of this story is that we should be thankful for what we have and never become too greedy as too much greed isnever good and it can lead to serious consequences which we may not be able to reverse back like the king did.
please forgive me!
king Midas realize this great wish was going to kill him. He would either starve to death or die of thirst! He cried for Bacchus to forgive him and take away this curse of the golden touch.
