Toussaint louverture started out as a very good man with good intentions was the best-known leader of the Haitian Revolution. His military and political knowledge saved the rights of the first Black revolution in November 1791.
He started out as a small boy in haiti. HE was a diligent worker and as few black people were able to do, he learned to read by his master teaching him. He then became almost like an overseer of all the other slaves doing their work which was definitely a wanted and prominent position is a slave colony.
As he was acting like an overseer of the other slaves working he had plans of his own to put these people and people all around haiti who were enslaved to have better conditions.
As time grew he was able to become a afrrichais which was a freed slave. And when he was freed, he had a mission to free everyone else as well.
Soon enough though he started a rebellion and him and many slaves on the plantation. Burned houses.
After a while though it got hard to think they could abolish slavery.
