Once upon a time, there were two twin baby brothers. They were named Romulus and Remus. Their father was Mars, the god of War, and their mother was Rhea Silvia.
Numitors brother, Amulius put the baby boys in a basket and threw them into a river and hoped they would drown and die
Then all of a sudden a she-wolf appeared and rescued the babies, fed them with her own milk, and cared for them
They grew up and were found by a shepherd named Faustulus. He took them home and looked after them until they were grown up.
Remus made fun of Romulus’s wall by jumping over it and saying how easy it was to jump over it. Romulus killed his brother and said he would kill anyone who made fun of his city or tried to break through the walls of Rome.
The Sabine tribe was not happy about Romulus stealing women from the Sabine tribe to provide wives for the slaves and criminals and to populate his new city. So they declared war on Rome for many years
