  • In "The Lottery", it is displayed in third person omniscient.  A quote from the story that describes the leader is "seventy-seventh year I been in the lottery," Old Man Warner said as he went through the crowd.
  • In "The Lottery", it took place on June 27th, 1948 in a village during the summer.  A quote from the story describes that "The morning of June 27th was clear and sunny, with the fresh warmth of a full-summer day;" then "The people of the village began to gather in the square,"
  • In "The Lottery", the theme portrays how you can not change a lifestyle everyone lives, just because you want a change.  Just because you are scared of getting chosen, does not mean you can escape death row.  A quote from the story showing Tessie's emotions says "You didn't give him time enough to take any paper he wanted.  I saw you.  It wasn't fair!"
