In the late 1700's, there was a thirteen-year-old girl named Isabel who lived in Rhode Island. She was an American slave and lived with her younger sister Ruth. Her goal was to be free and take care of her sister Ruth. .
Isabel and Ruth had a slave owner named Mrs. Mary Finch who had died. Mr. Robert, Mrs. Mary Finch's relative wanted to sell them for a good price.
