Meeting the Crew
Loch, a scout-turned criminal, who is currently gathering a team to steal a family heirloom. Archvoyant Silestin, leader of the Republic and Loch's enemy. Justicar Pyvic, one of the most skilled members of the Justicars, the Republic's version of the FBI.
The story starts with an escapeby Loch and Kail, Loch's friend, from the Cleaners, a prison on the underside of a floating city.
What Could Possibly Go Wrong?
Loch then locates members for a team, consisting of Kail, an illusionist, a master lochpick and alchemist, a contortionist monk, a unicorn, a death priestess, a talking Warhammer, and a kid named Dairy.
The main conflict is the team trying to get onto a floating city, break into the Archvoyant's palace, and steal a treasured heirloom, all the while avoiding Justicar Pyvic, a "Glimmering Man", and an assassin hiding in the shadows, watching their every move.
Will they steal the heirloom? Who, if anyone, will die in the process? What is the nature of Loch's grudge against Silestin? Find out all that and more in "The Palace Job".
