  • Conflict
  • On a quiet suburban Maple Street, somewhere in America, the residence noticed a meteor/ like object flying in the sky. All of the residence are questioning why this is happeneing, while they are questioning the electricity goes out.
  • Climax 
  • Steve was going to go to the other neighborhood, bit Tommy told him that he shouldn't go. Tommy also said the strange object in the sky was an alien ship and someone in their neighborhood was an alien. 
  • Falling Action
  • Les Goodman's car turned on by itself and the crowd accused him of being the "alien." The woman also accused Les because  sometimes she goes to bed late at night and she see's Les looking up at the sky like there is something there. Soon everyone starts blaming each other. 
  • Resolution 
  •  In the street the crowd sees a dark shadow walking towards them, and Charlie grabs the gun out of Steve's hand. Charlie suddenly shoots the dark figure and realized it was Pete Van Horn!  The crowd now accuses Charlie of being the "alien." Since Charlie doesn't want to be blamed, for what he did, he accuses Tommy for telling the story. Since Tommy told the crowd what was going  to happen people thought he was now the alien. 
  • All of the crowd starts blaming each other. None of the neighbors think they can trust each other just because of what a 14 year old told them about what he read in a book.
  • In the end all the aliens had to do was turn the power off and just sit back and watch the neighbors destroy each other. Insead of the crowd trying to work together to try to fix the problem they all ended up blaming
