Storyboard Text

  •    Why is משה upset? ר' הירש Moshe was angry because his whole job was to help בני ישראל become more spiritual and perfect, and now בני ישראל are disregarding all of that and complaining about foods that  they missed. Moshe felt like  he had failed in his mission.
  • Why does משה think that he can’t provide for       q   בנ’’י? ר' הירש 3. Moshe knows he can’t provide for בני ישראל because they are asking for something that he can’t give them. Moshe is upset because he thought that if he was the right man then בני ישראל would respect him and not ask for things they know he can’t give them.
  • Why does משה think that he can’t provide for       q   בנ’’י? a ר' הירש 1. Moshe doesn’t feel like he is qualified to lead בני ישראל. If he was able to see the good that would result from himself he would do it but all he sees is them suffering. He doesn’t feel confident enough and thinks that self confidence is what you need to be a leader. He doesn’t understand why Hashem put him in charge of the whole nation.
  • Why does משה think that he can’t provide for       q   בנ’’י? ר' הירש 2. Moshe doesn’t think he can be a good teacher for בני ישראל because he is not a good speaker and doesn’t have all the qualities to help him win the respect of the people. He feels like he shouldn’t be the one who influences the nation and has to educate all of them. It would be easier if moshe was really their father because children naturally love and respect their parents, but since he isn’t their real parent they don’t naturally love and respect him.
  • How could משה have asked ‘ה to kill him??!! רש''י a "ואם ככה את עשה לי" This shows us that Moshe’s strength grew weak when Hashem showed  him the future punishment of the nation. Moshe therefore said if your going to kill them, you have to kill me first. ר' הירש He’s asking Hashem to kill him so he does not see the failure of his mission and the deterioration of   בני ישראל. Hashem is acting like a woman and isn’t using his power to help Moshe and that's why it says את in feminine
