  • The First President
  • I will set a good precedent for the future leaders of the U.S. 
  • Financial Crisis
  •  Hamilton’s Financial Plan
  • My name is Alexander Hamilton and I have come up with a plan to help get the U.S out of the financial crisis. 
  • Washington becomes president and later creates three executive departments; the Treasury, Sate, and War. He also passes the Judiciary Act of 1789.
  • Whiskey Rebellion
  • I will NOT pay the tax on whiskey!
  • The U.S. was in a financial crisis when Washington took office. They were 52 million dollars in debt, mostly in the form of bonds
  •  Problems in NW Territory
  • I will not be forced of my land that the settlers call the Northwest Territory
  • Hamilton, Washington secretary of treasury, Alexander Hamilton, came up with a plan that would get the U.S. out of their financial crisis.
  •  French Revolution
  • We want a fair class system and to break away from the rule of kings. 
  • Congress imposed a tax on whiskey, and a lot of backcountry farms who made and sold whiskey for extra money orgainized and refused to pay the tax. Washington sent the militia to stop the rebellion, and to show that behavior like that would not be accepted in a republic.
  • The Native Americans living in the Northwest territory were attacking settlers with amunition they got from the British who were still there, even though they agreed to withdraw their land in a reasonable time.  The U.S tried to get the Native Americans to sell their land, but the Native Americans refused. 
  • The French Revolution was about destroying an unfair class system, and a rule of kings. There were three main causes to the French Revolution,the financial crisis that was that the french had spent large sums of money on soldiers and weapons, and the nobility, the economic depression that was the decease in the manufacturing, trade, and years of poor achutcurural harvest. Lastly the enlightenment/age of reason , ordinary people could elect their leaders.
