Restorative Practices - Comic Strip
Micheal arrives late to school and without equipment on the day of the GAT. He is struggling with the basics and needs a reminder of the college expectations.
It was another cold winter day at Tarneit Senior. The day all Year 12's fear... GAT day! 9am start. Michael wakes up at 8:40, and slowly makes his way to school. As 9:05 hit, Michael goes to his locker to look for a pen.
Unsuspectedly he is noticed by teachers Lucy & Gary, who aren't very happy with Michael lack of effort & organisation. Michael is quickly sent to the GAT with the necessary material. It is explained to him that he will be required to discuss this behaviour later.
.....3 hours later..... Lucy: Hi Michael, do you understand why I have asked you to come see me? Can you explain what you were thinking when arriving late this morning? Michael: I didn't want to come to the GAT & I had no pen. It's not even a subject Lucy: Who do you think is affected by this behaviour? Not being organised and on time, these are the basics! Michael: I let myself down Lucy: What are you going to do for future exams to ensure you are on time and organised?
