Storyboard Text

  • That's not fair! The Lazers coach probably saw how good you were. He thinks we can't win without you.
  • When it came to the playoffs, The Lazers coach didn't allow Sadia to play the game because of her outfits. However, Sadia just accepted that because she was thinking for the team.
  • We'll win it for you, Sadia.
  • Listen, don't let them intimidate you. We're a stronger team, and we have something more important. Heart.
  • I don't want to sacrifice our chance at playoffs because the Lazers won by default.
  • I'll be sitting here, cheering you on.
  • Sadia didn't keep Aazim's secret and took her parents to his play. She thought this would help Aazim but she just made it awkward.
  • We should go. We'll see you at home.
  • You were incredible! The play was intense! You made me cry!
  • Go. Please go, Sadia.
  • But they love it! I saw their faces!
  • I've told you not to come!
  • Sadia was very upset to know what she had done didn't help Aazim but made things worse. Aazim had a conversation with their parents...
  • Don't concern yourself. You've done enough.
  • What happened?
  • I hadn't meant to get him in trouble...
  • Acting does really matter to him.  I wouldn't be able to live with the guilt if my parents forbid him from acting...
  • Sadia had a small talk with Josh. She loved Josh but she couldn't speak it out loud because of her strict family rules.
  • Yeah, Mohammed told me a while ago... But I didn't have one like that...
  • Sadia... I can't imagine playing without you.
  • We're good together. Josh-- My family has pretty strict rules about dating and stuff.
  • So why...
  • I couldn't stop him from liking me and I wasn't sure I even wanted to.
  • I could never date him; he would only ever be a friend no matter how much I like him...
  • Sadia's mother noticed that Sadia was too close to Josh when they were taking photos to congratulate their victory of tournament.
  • It's not like that, Mom. Josh is my friend. That's it. I promise.
  • What is happening to my children? One acting and this one hugging guys.
  • He's just a friend.
  • That boy--
  • Really?
  • It's powerful to hear about the photos in her words.
  • "My brother prefers to sleep together even though they have bunk beds. After spending so much time in the camps, They don't like to sleep apart"
  • Sadia took her parents to the school's art show at the gallery. They were touched by the photo Amira had taken. It's a symbol of the cruel war.
  • I'd never thought about things like these before, about how much we had in Canada-- food, stuff, everything-- but Amira did.
