  • I'm Anna and I'm learning English as an additional language (EAL). I really struggle with understanding verbal instructions in English.
  • I'm Dan and I have autism. I like doing activities on my own and dislike loud noises.
  • I'm Chloe and I have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). I'm very chatty, active and have trouble focusing for long periods of time.
  • Please speak slowly and clearly when giving instructions.
  • Please keep the classroom quiet for me to focus and give me my own space to complete activities.
  • Please don't make me sit for too long and use short, verbal instructions.
  • We are 20 students (11 females and 9 males) who make up the remainder of the year 1 class at an inner-city co-educational public primary school. We enjoy coming to school and love the different learning experience that-hands on learning activities provide. School can be busy, unsettling and even stressful at times due to our high turn-over rate of staff and students and traffic accidents frequently affecting our travel arrangements to and from school.
