Stanza 1-3, "'There was a ship,' quoth he." (Line 10) Summary: Three guest are heading to a wedding. One is caught by an old man. He demands to be let go and the old man does so. But, the wedding guest stays and listens because he is transfixed with the old man's "glittering eye".
Let me go, crazy old man!
Stanza 11-13 "And a good south wind sprung up behind; / The Albatross did follow." (Lines 71-72) Summary: The mariner's ship gets caught in a storm and they navigate away from it. But, the ship is stuck in a foggy ice field. As the crew attempts to navigate around the ice burgs, they see an albatross. The conditions suddenly become better.
Stanza 17, "I Shot the Albatross." (Line 82) Summary: The mariner kills the albatross
