Storyboard Text

  • Dictatorship
  • In a dictatorship, the leader has unlimited power, the citizens have no rights, and the dictator can say/do whatever he/she wants. The citizens can go to jail for just wearing a specific color of clothes. The dictator gets the power from the family bloodline or be "...taken by force, through a military coup." (Holub) Often, once the dictator is in power, he/she creates any rights to give to the citizens (if any.)
  • If I could choose what type of government to live in, I would choose a democracy. I am able to have several rights and the president and other representatives only have limited power. I would have a say in my government.
  • What kind of government would you choose to live in?
