  • Where is your ship going?
  • Robert Walton is on a voyage to the North Pole with the desire to discover something, and he is writing to his sister, Margaret. His ship suddenly stalls in the ice and they spot a huge creature on a sled. The following morning, they spot and rescue a nearly dead Victor Frankenstein.
  • You look horrible!
  • Victor starts to tell his story, starting with his early life. At 5 years old, he is given a gift which is Elizabeth, his "more than sister." Henry Clerval becomes Victor's best friend as he begins to gain interest in natural science. Victor being witness to a lightning strike on a tree has a great impact on him, which leads him to become invested more into natural philosophy.
  • Just listen to me!
  • Victor decides to go to university at Ingolstadt where he continues his education of natural sciences. It is around this time that he becomes interested in the studies of old sciences and decides to attempt to reanimate and bring to live another human being. He invests a large amount of time and finally creates what he had worked hard for.
  • She's dead!
  • Victor his horrified by his creation and runs from it. He is greeted by Henry and then falls ill. Henry takes care of Victor until he is well enough to continue about his daily life. He spends most of his time with Henry and decides to return to Geneva when he learns his brother, William, has died. He is walking through the woods when he spots his Creation, who he immediately blames for his brother's murder. Justine Moritz is blamed and executed for the murder.
  • Victor decides to travel and take a long hike to get his mind off of the terrible situations. Up on a mountain, Victor encounters his Creation and it tells its story. After telling his tale, the Creature asks him to make him a female companion. Victor eventually agrees to the Creature's request, but cannot follow through and ends up destroying it halfway through. The Creature ends up killing Henry and Victor is blamed for the death.
  • Victor eventually returns back to Elizabeth to assure her that they will still be married. Victor was threatened by the Creature that he will visit Victor on his wedding night. Victor goes through with the marriage, and is awaiting the Creature. The Creature murders Elizabeth and Victor is struck with grief. He vows to follow the Creature to kill him when he encounters Walton and his ship.
