Storyboard Text

  • photosynthesis is the process by which green plants and some other organisms use sunlight to synthesize foods from carbon dioxide and water
  • the process of photosynthesis
  • reactants of photosynthesis
  • products are glucose, 6 molecules of carbon dioxide, and 6 molecules of water
  • sunlight+ water from roots + carbon dioxide
  • plant lets out oxygen
  • basic photosynthesis
  • roots take in the water
  • plant takes in carbon dioxide
  • oxygen
  • carbon dioxide combines with hydrogen using the ATP to create glucose. More oxygen exits the plant as well
  • glucose
  • inside chloroplasts, the water and carbon dioxide go through a complex series of chemical reactions. the reactions are powered by the energy from the first stage. then the products are produced
  • the carbon dioxide enters the plant through small openings on the undersides of the leaves called Stomata. once in the leaves, the water and carbon dioxide move into the chloroplasts.
  • reactants = glucose and oxygen
  •  cellular respiration
  • products = carbon dioxide, ATP, water, and heat
