  • Act III Scene 1
  • And fired-eye fury be my conduct now.
  • Act III Scene 2
  • What devil art thou that dost torment me thus?

  • And sayest thou yet that exile is not death?
  • Tybalt and Mercutio fight which ends with Mercutio's death. Romeo then avenges Mercutio by killing Tybalt.
  • Act III Scene 4
  • O' Thursday tell her, she shall be married to this noble earl.
  • The nurse tells Juliet about the fight and she fears that both Tybalt and Romeo died. Once she learns that Romeo killed Tybalt she is briefly mad at Romeo, but then she forgives him for his action.
  • Act III Scene 5
  • An you be not, ang, beg, starve, die in the streets,
  • Friar Lawrence tells Romeo is punishment is banishment from Verona. Romeo begins to cry and wishes death above banishment. Nurse comes and the three plan for Romeo to go to Juliet's bedroom that night.
  • Juliet is sad about Romeo's banishment, and since Lord and Lady Capulet do not want her to be sad, they arrange for Paris and Juliet to be married immediately. Paris does not need consent to be married.
  • Romeo and Juliet separate and Romeo escapes Verona. Juliet tells her parents that she will not marry Paris. She goes to the Friar for help because the nurse has turned on her.
