This is me. I have always been involved with sports and grew up trying almost every sport in the book. Being an athlete was my "thing," it was what I was good at. It's where I thrived and enjoyed what I was doing.
When I got to high school, like most kids who continue to be involved in athletics, I had to choose a sport to focus on. I chose to continue swimming. I swam varsity for a Division I school and loved it. However...
After swimming for 13 years, I knew I didn't want to swim at a collegiate level. I loved swimming and everything it taught me but I wanted to focus on college and getting into a career I would love.
Welcome to Warsaw
After getting to college, I struggled with what I wanted to do. All I knew was how to be an athlete because that was what I was good at. School was never a strong point. Freshmen year, I was a human physiology major. That didn't go well, I was anxious & concerned about figuring out what I wanted to do with my life.
My Sophomore year I met my, now, friend, who we call "tall." Tall told me he was a sports business major and that he was involved in the Warsaw Sports Business Club. He told me that he also had an internship with the athletic department. At that time, I wasn't aware of the club or that sports business was even an option. It got me excited.
Tall took me to my first Warsaw meeting and I never looked back. I had been introduced to things I didn't even know existed. I had finally found my passion and my love for sports continue. My knowledge and experience continues to evolve and feel at peace and at home with my chosen path of Sports business.
