  • Launch more and more attacks, no matter the cashualties
  • Lee attacked the union over and over no matter the casualties, which was heavy.
  • in June 1863, lee lost his cavalry and the union got the high ground which gave them the advantage.
  • General Lee ordered an attack on the left side of the Union on July 2 the two army's fought for round top hill to where the blood stood in puddles, the union eventually drove the confederates away
  • July 3, 1863 the Confederates believed the Union was heavily battered and planned a large attack against them, they believed they had damaged the Union heavily but had actually effected the the union by very little. 
  • The battle of Gettysburg led to many deaths, 23,049 of the Union, and 28,063 of the Confederates. The battle of Gettysburg was a turning point in the war and an advantage for the union
  •  November 19, 1863 at the Gettysburg battlefield cemetary Lincoln gave a short but moving speech, to honor the men who had fallen at the battle of Gettysburg.
