Macbeth Act 1 Scene 2

Storyboard Text

  • King Duncan, alongside his sons Malcolm and Donolbain, the Duke of Lennox, and a few attendants meet a wounded captain. The King asks him how the battle is going.
  • You there! How is the battle going?
  • The outcome was uncertain! Macdonwald's army, alongside warriors from Ireland and the Hebrides, looked to claim victory. But thank goodness Macbeth was here, and he carved his way through the army to Macdonwald. Macbeth killed him in an instant!
  • However, the Norwegian King saw this as an advantage, and began a new assault!
  • Not at all! They actually DOUBLED their ferocity! Maybe they wanted to bathe in their blood! But I can't talk anymore, I'm wounded!
  • Did this trouble Macbeth and Banquo?
  • The attendants bring the captain to a doctor, and soon after, the Thane of Ross arrives. He tells the King that the King of Norway and his army, alongside the support of the traitor, the Thane of Cawdor, began a battle in Fife.
  • But in the end, Macbeth came to our aid, and defeated the Thane of Cawdor! Now the King of Norway is asking for forgiveness. But we refused to bury his men until he gave us ten thousand dollars!
  • Wow! Well proclaim that the Thane of Cawdor will be executed, and tell Macbeth he will be the new Thane!
  • Will do!
