My Laws of Motion are: 1) A stationary body will stay stationary unless an external force is applied to it. 2)Force is equal to mass times acceleration, and a change in motion is proportional to the force applied. 3) For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
In 1687, I published my most acclaimed work, Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy which has been called the single most influential book on physics. In 1705, I was knighted by Queen Anne of England, making me Sir Isaac Newton.
My first major public scientific achievement was designing and constructing a reflecting telescope in 1668.
In March 1727, Newton experienced severe pain in his abdomen and blacked out, never to regain consciousness. He died the next day, on March 31, 1727, at the age of 84.
