  • Yes, we have done it, physician Frederick Banting and medical student Charles H. Best, have finally found a way to lower the levels of glucose! Diabetes can finally be treated, hopefully human testing can start soon! 
  • Like A Diabetic Dog!
  • Insulin will help those with diabetes and im excited for its future changing aspects!
  • Poor dog, you've suffered to long, we finally have a solution. You my good dog, will be the first patient for what will be known widely as "Insulin".
  • Or 14 year old Leonard Thompson, a little boy dying on a hospital bed, the first ever tested human, saved by the wonders of Insulin!!!
  • Diabetes is a disease in which the body’s ability to produce or respond to the hormone insulin is impaired, resulting in abnormal metabolism of carbohydrates and elevated levels of glucose in the blood and urine. This can result in heart disease, stroke, kidney damage, and nerve damage.
  • Banting and Charles H. Best were able to develop synthetic insulin to counter act the causes of Diabetes and successfully treat many people...
  • Fredrick Banting and his associates went on to earn the Noble Prize in Medicine and since then his creation has saved many lives.
