Hey, I'm Red! I am a red blood cell, and today I will be taking you on a tour around the body with my friend's capillaries. Let's go!!
First stop is the Right Atrium. we are in capillaries and have to travel through veins to get to the Right ventricle. Right now we are deoxygenated, so we must make our way to the lungs to become oxygenated.
As we travel through the Right Ventricle we pick up wastes such as carbon dioxide. We deliver nutrients and other good things to the body.
Now we are in the Pulmonary Artery, It's pretty dark in here. Next we travel to the lungs.
The Lungs!!! This is the most important section of the body. This is where we drop off carbon dioxide and pick up oxygen! we become oxygenated.
Red blood cells like me have no nucleus, so we can carry more oxygen molecules. Now we are travelling back through the heart to Left Atrium. Next, we will travel to the Left Ventricle.
