  • The prohibition was when the government made it illegal to sell, make, or drink alcohol.
  • No Alcohol
  • Gangsters
  • Gangster's didn't follow the government's rules & still sold & made alcohol. I know because my uncle Charlie said he was part of the gangsters.

  • Flappers
  • My sister was a Flapper and decided that she wasn't gonna keep following the rules women used to have. She dresses differently and acts differently too, not like before with our parents.
  • The 18th Amendment has caused the Prohibition.
  • "Buying on Time"
  • "Buying on time" became a new thing where my mama could buy a washer and pay it little by little and not all at once.
  • Speaking of Gangsters, Al Capone as one of the most we’ll known gangsters who wasn’t caught by the police by typical gangster activities.
  • Charles Lindberg
  • Flappers were often dressed to show some skin and were very involved with fashion trends of the time.
  • ”Buying on Time” made it possible for people to be able pay off items without having to purchase it to at once.
  • Wow! I can buy this and pay it little by little!
  • Lindberg was the inspiration that made airplane travel across the ocean possible.
  • Charles Lindberg has flown across the Atlantic Ocean to Paris next was the first to do so. He was so famous that my mother always talked about him during dinner.
