Storyboard Text

  • Hey, my name is Billy Bob the spider and today we are going to talk about the economy of Greece
  • Since Greece is a parliamentary republic the president has limited power. Most of the power lies with the government. The President is elected by Parliament every five years and he or she is Head of State. The Prime Minister is Head of the Government. This is good for the citizens because they know the president doesn't have all the power. It also means there won’t be any dictatorship like Adolf Hitler.
  • Next, we are going to talk on the population the population is 10,268,477. With the literacy rate being so high the population growth is lower. Population growth is the increase in the number of individuals in a population. When the literacy rate is increasing and high the population growth rate decreases. When the population growth rate is decreasing it’s easier to share the country’s resources among fewer people.
  • Greece has a stable and high literacy rate, their literacy rate is 97.7% for the total population. Literacy rate is the people who can read or write that are above the age of 15. Since Greece is more industrialized and the literacy rate is high there is going to be better healthcare options, education, and more technology. The literacy rate is going to affect the standard of living in a good way. If many people can read and write they can get jobs so it's benefiting them.
  • After, we are going to explain Greece’s natural resources and how they affect the primary imports! Greece’s natural resources are marble, clay, nickel, coal, bauxite, and ore. Coal is what bad kids get during Christmas and nickel is used to make stainless steel. Their natural resources affect the primary imports because what there exporting needs to be good so they will have good imports. Some imports Greece gets from other countries are machinery, equipment, and fuels. An example would be Greece has chocolate chip cookies and I'm trading my cookies with Turkey for there Oatmeal cookies. Greece wants to trade because oatmeal cookies are hot right now and they can sell them.
  • To wrap this up that's Greece's economy and a fact for Greece before I Billy Bob leaves Greece is where mythological movies take place and there's a lot of tourism there. One amazing person named Hercules was in Greece also and Percy Jackson to. Thank you for reading this amazing comic strip. Billy Bob out!
