- In chapter 1, Ponyboy is walking home from school and the Socs come and pick on him and call him "Greaser!" The props are a backpack on Ponyboy, birds, a knife because they were going to cut his hair off, speech bubbles, the socs car, and a cloud in the sky.
- In chapter 2 Dally, Johnny, and Ponyboy go to the shopping Center and get cokes. The props are coke, straws, a cash register, a clock, pizza, and a ketchup and mustard tray.
- In chapter 3, Dally and Ponyboy fall asleep in the lot. The props are trash on the ground, beer bottles, broken glass, a bench, a recycling can, and trash cans.
