Just before the French Revolution taxes were extremely unfair as the poor(the peasants) got poorer as they had too pay higher taxes then the rich(the nobles and the church) who got richer because infact they didn't have too pay any taxes which annoyed the peasants because of how unfair it was, no thanks to the king.
Marie Antonette was a (barely) 14 year old girl and was the daughter of Maria Theresa, she soon married to Louis XVI (who was the king at the time) and became queen. Because of the revolution she was captured and eventually executed which was one of the key happenings in the French Revolution.
After a while the church had to suprisingly pay tax so that the king could fund for American Revolution. Also at he similar time of this happening the storming of Bastille occured. The storming of Bastille is where the king / royalties put many poorer people in prison for minor offences. This was arguably the biggest happening of the French revolution. Bastille day is still celebrated today on the 14 of July.
In the French Revolution there was two major political faces Georges Danton and Robespierre. Georges Jacques Danton was a leading figure in the early stages of the French Revolution, in particular as the first president of the Committee of Public Safety. Robespierre however had different views to danton he was more brutal and ruthless and some people thought he used the guillotine like it was a toy. Robespierre had Dnton die under the guillotine just like he had done too many innocent people.
All in all the French Revolution was successful and made a huge impact on France and what it is like today. It is one of the most well known and important historical events. Ultimately it led to a much better democratic system and made France known across the globe.
