'The angel Gabriel was sent by God to a town in Galilee called Nazareth' - Lk 1: 26 To tell Mary 'do not be afraid, Mary, for you, have favour with God and you will conceve in your womb and bear a son, and you will name him Jesus.' - Lk 1: 30-32 Mary was confused and suprised m=by this information.
Mary and Joseph set off to Bethlehem, knowing that in their time their main mode of transport was travelling on donkey's and considering Mary's current state as pregnant they would have travelled to Judea on a donkey.
Once Mary and Joseph reach Bethlaham, they look for a place to stay but 'there was no place for them in the inn' - Lk 2: 7
Because there was no more room in the inn Mary and Joseph moved into a barn but 'while they were there, the time came for her to deliver her child. And she gave birth to her firstborn son' - Lk 2: 6-7
Once the news spread about the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem, the three wise men journeyed 'to Bethlehem to see the thing that has taken place, which the Lord has made known to them, so they went with haste' - Lk 2: 15-16
After Jesus, the Messiah was born Mary 'wrapped him in bands of cloth, and laid him in a manager' - Lk 2: 7. All the shepherds, the three wise men and the angels came to praise the newborn king. They all 'found Mary and Joseph, and the child lying in the manger' - Lk 2: 16
