The Renaissance was a humanistic period of time with many advances in art, learning, literature, science, and technology.
One important scientist from the Renaissance was Robert Hooke. He discovered cells in 1665.
The printing press was invented by Johannes Gutenberg. It allowed for books and writings to be made and spread much faster than before.
The reformation movement was when people stood up to the church and reinvented the church's power and decisions.
Many people payed a great deal in the reformation movement. Martin Luther was a man who thought he wasn't connected to God as much as he wanted. He found that the church was being greedy and had too much power. He created the 95 theses which was spread around with the help of the printing press.
The impact of the Renaissance is the birth of advances in science, literature, art, and discovery. The reformation brought the Protestant religion we have today and some of the inventions and theories created during that time have led to many discoveries about our world.
