Macbeth writing a letter to his wife that he is now the Thane of Cawdor and the king to be.
Lady Macbeth's plan to kill Duncan begins with getting the servants, protecting his room, drunk and spiking their drinks. Then when they pass out Macbeth is to take the servants weapon and Duncan. Once he is done he is to put the weapons back and rub the blood on the guards.
"We must kill Duncan!"
When Macbeth was on his way to kill king Duncan he saw a dagger floating in the air.
Macbeth kills the king in his sleep. But...
Macbeth took the dagger with him instead of leaving it on the drunken servants. Since Macbeth couldn't make himself go back, Lady Macbeth had to take it back.
