Storyboard Text

  • Mary Surrat was born in Waterloo, Maryland in 1820 but she died on July 7,1865 because of the choices she made.
  • This woman happened to be part of the conspiracy of Abraham Lincolns death. which took place around Washington D.C. in 1864 to 1865. which also took place in a boarding house.
  • Mary Surratt helped john Wilkes booth kill Abraham Lincoln. Also she impacted our nations history by being the first woman to be hanged by the government and help kill our presidents.
  • A piece of research that suprised me was when her son, John Surrat Jr. Could have been apart of the conspiracy . They didn't find out because he left to Canada.
  • Mary Surratt hurt our nation during her time period. It had a great impact because the death of Lincoln was in her hands as well.
  • Some Information that I thought was interesting was that rifles and other supplies were hidden around her county home. Also she owned a boarding house where John Wilkes Booth devised his plot to assassinate the president.
