Newtons 3rd Law of Motion (Law of Action and Reaction)
Newtons 1st law says that an object remains at rest unless you apply a new force to it. In this case, the net force is caused by the car wheels turning. The force that this makes happen, is the car moves to the left.
Newtons 2nd law of Motion says that force equals mass times acceleration (F=ma) The truck will need more force to be acted on it than the car, to make the two of them accelerate the same amount, due to the larger mass of the truck.
Newtons 3rd law of Motion says that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. The action in this example is the push the tires make on the road. The reaction is the push the road makes on the tire, making the car move.
