Jewish history began with Abraham. He has a wife named Sarah. They had a son named Isaac. Isaac had 2 sons, one was named Jacob. Jacob had 12 sons which represent the 12 tribes of Israel. Judah was one of the 12 sons of Jacob who settled in Egypt.
Moses had a covenant with God. God was able to speak to Moses through a bush that is on fire that does not burn. God told Moses to lead the Israelites to the promised land which is Canaan.
Moses led the Israelites to a bondage out of Egypt to Canaan or the promised land. This event is called Exodus. Along the way, they encountered challenges and miracles like the Parting of the Red Sea. Also, Moses received the 10 Commandments on Mount Sinai during this bondage.

The Kingdom of Israel was formed. King Saul was the first king. Followed by his son, King David. Then King David's son, King Solomon. King Solomon built the first temple in Jerusalem. Eventually the land would become divided. Israel was the name given to the Northern Empire and Judah was the Southern Empire
The city of Jerusalem was destroyed. It was overtaken by the by the Assyrian Empire. Then the Chaldean Empire. In this event, Jews were forced into exile.
The Persians defeated the Babylonians. Then, King Cyrus allowed the exileD Jews to return home. The city of Jerusalem was and the great temple was rebuilt.
