  • The stamp act was a law that taxed almost all printed materials including newspapers, wills, playing cards and more.  It was passed because tax had to be paid
  • NO TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION! The Colonist were taxed even though they didn't have representation in parliament. Colonists did not agree with this law.
  • We helped Sam Adams start the sons of liberty. We protest acts and burn effigies. If you are a merchant we will urge you to boycott.
  • Now that Britain has lost so much revenue due to the stamp act, Parliment is demanded tp repeal the law.
  • Now because of the quartering act I have to feed these soldiers and let them sleep in my beds
  • With the new Townshend act, there is now tax on glass, tea, paper and more. This will start another boycott.
