  • Careful don't pull a Charlie Gorden!
  • Charlie Gorden is a 37 year old man. His IQ is at a level of  67. He wishes to be smart and goes to a school for people like him. His teacher Mrs.Kinnian has opened a new door for him and recommended  him to some scientists who need someone to test out a way to triple his IQ level and make him smarter.
  • Flowers of Algernon- Falling Action
  • After a series of tests the two scientists Dr.Strauss and Dr.Nemur have decided to use Charlie. Although Dr.Strauss was against using Charlie. Dr.Nemur told Dr.Strauss that Charlie had something and that he would be perfect for it. Charlie was overjoyed and had the operation to me him smarter.
  • Flowers of Algernon-Denouement  
  • After Charlie had the operation however he had discovered that his "friends" at work weren't really his friends. They were making fun of him for his lack of intelligence and he is now just realizing it. Charlie now realizes that he never had friends but he had bullies.
  • Flowers of Algernon-Ending
  • When Charlie learned of the cause of Algernon's death. He realizes that he is running low on time. He decidesto try to fix the problem but is unable to.
  • When Charlie realizes that he can't fix it he writes a book on all his research and then he starts to lose all the intelligence he had gained.  He didn't want to be somewhere were everyone knew that he was once a genius so he wrote a letter that explained what was happening. He then left New York and no one knew where is were abouts were after that.
  • In the letter he explained all of what was happening. He also wanted Miss.Kinnian to know that he loved her. He explained that the only way to have friends is to let people laugh at you and use you. His final request was that people put flowers on Algernon's grave for him.
