Grandfather Yellow Owl tought me to make sure I never see a bear
Stop talking! your going to lead the bear right to us!
actually noise is the best protection in the woods
Jimmy was telling Rob and Erin that he knows how to not have a bear come near them. "Guess what," JImmy said, "Grandfather Yellow Owl taught me to make sure I never see a bear." Erin didn't look too convinced, but Rob thought that with JImmy's skills they would never see a bear on this trip.
When Jimmy was looking out for Rob and Erin to make sure there were no bears, or there were no signs of a bear he relaxed. Rob and Erin were looking behind Jimmy because they wanted to see. They were too afraid to look by themselves, but with Jimmy also looking they were curious and weren't scared at all.
Erin was trying to talk to Rob, but then Rob shouted: "Stop talking!" You're going to lead the bear right to us!" Then Erin thought about how it might lead the bear right to them, so he stopped talking. Jimmy heard their conversation and he said, "Actually noise is the best protection in the woods." When Rob and Erin heard him they just started talking again.
Finally, it was night time and Jimmy was scanning the trail again, but this time he looked focused and it almost looked like he was having angry thoughts. Erin and Rob were still talking. Rob and Erin were convinced they would stay up all night. They also decided to set up their tent, and get a fire going.
When Jimmy was walking back from scanning the trail he almost stepped on a pile of berries and sticks. While Erin and Rob were talking and doing their secret handshake. When Jimmy was trying to get the other flashlight out of the tent he almost made the tent fall.
Jimmy heard a noise and so did Rob and Erin they all got scared and huddled up. When the bear finally did come it stared to rain. Jimmy knew to stay where you were, but Erin went on his knees and started crying. Rob started to run away. When the bear was gone they decided to just go to another campsite.
