  • Chief Nomad, the fur trade is starting to decline. What will we do? We need to do something so we can profit!
  • Patience, friend. We have time to think. How about we agree on somethings with The British? Let's start on our resource restrictions.
  • We understand your panic and anger. So we will give to you your right to fish and hunt. We shall establish this information with the rest of the towns folk and will keep our promises through these treaties.
  • The First Nation people were aware that the fur trade was losing it's purpose, which had some of The Natives worried on their survival.
  • Well, this is some fine land for our people. Very nice of the British to give us it.
  • Who are these people? Are they lost?
  • It would be if these people weren't here. Try further up stream where it looks uninhabited.
  • In order to sustain, The First Nations had to agree upon certain thing such as their right to fish legally.
  • We want our land back from those settlers. You've broke our trust, now we want what back what's ours.
  • How could you speak against the treaties we've set up? Don't strike our trust or you'll lose your tribe.
  • These were peace and friendship treaties to lock their trust at least temporarily. Mi’kmaq, Maliseet, and Passamaquoddy were the ones to sign the treaties and hoped to stay out of the British Governments way so they wouldn't be troubled.
  • However, when people started arriving, the First Nation's land was being taken without permission to help different people. The First Nations must have felt betrayed due to the peace and friendship treaties being signed. This made thing's very tense.
