Miranda Vs. Arizona
Mr. Miranda confessed that he did the crime.
Mr. Miranda you may speak.
My fifth amendment was abused!
How was it abused?
These investigators did not state that I had the right to remain silent! Which you have to say to everyone who is being detained.
The evidence the investigators got from Mr. Miranda is not allowed! This case is continued.
As you can see, as a cop or investigator you have to state someones rights. They didn't state Miranda's fifth amendment so they weren't allowed to use Miranda's confection to the crime.
