Alright class now sit down, today we will be talking about the cold war.
Morocco created more supplies to help the Soviet Union during the war. They were considered to be the #1 trading partner for the Soviets. This helped Morocco create a better industry for Morocco.
Since Morocco helped the US during the war as well, the US helped convince the Spanish to sign the Madrid Treaty. This treaty stated that Morocco gained authority over its section of the Sahara.
Mr. Ramsey then went on to tell the kids about how Morocco was involved with the cold war. He painted a vivid picture in their heads, here is the pictures he painted.
Morocco was able to make new allies after the war because during the war they helped both the US and Soviet Union. They stored nuclear weapons, donated food and supplies, and they helped give out war strategies.
The first way that the cold war impacted Morocco involved its industry.
Because of the war Morocco's neighboring countries started to become more European. Therefore Morocco shortly started to adapt. Some people say that this affected Morocco's Geopolitics.
The next story was about the treaty that was signed to get the Sahara Desert back for Morocco.

During the war Morocco was closer to the Soviet Union then they were to the US. The Soviet's were then able to persuade Morocco to help them over the US.
