  • Nathaniel Bacon 
  • Berkeley and Bacon end up in a fight about tobacco trade and start a fierce rivalry. 
  • "why sir you entertain me, who said only you own the tobacco trade"
  • "Who do thou thinkith you are, I own the tobacco trade.
  • Sir William Berkeley
  • Bacon is appointed as on of the new members of the Virginia Council of State
  • "Congratulations Bacon" 
  • Some farmers want the Powhatan Indians to be removed from the treaty protected lans 
  • "I want them out of here!"
  • Berkeley, wishing to avoid war, creates a new policy, of containing the native American's and suggests building new forts
  • "How about we build new forts to contain the Native American's?"
  • Some of the colonists were not a fan of Berkeley's proposal and they think that the Indians should be removed and that Berkeley only did this to increase taxes.
  • "The Indians must be removed, you only did this to raise taxes!"
  • Some of the colonists including Bacon were so angry about the idea of a raise in taxes, and the lower prices for tobacco, so they started a rebellion
